Thomas Wilder agreed to join the Utah Jazz for the NBA Summer League
The 14
th NBA Summer League will take place July 6-17 in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Jazz's first Summer League game is set for Saturday, July 7 at 12:00 p.m. versus the Portland Trailblazers on NBA TV.
Wilder ended his career in Kalamazoo as WMU's second all-time leading scorer with 2,040 points. The Montgomery, Ill., native is one of two players in program history to eclipse the 2,000-point mark. Wilder is the only player in school history to rank in the top ten in career points, field goals made, field goals attempted, three-pointers made, free-throws made, steals and assists.
This past season, Wilder led the Broncos and ranked second in the Mid-American Conference with 18.8 points per game. The former guard earned First Team All-MAC and NABC All-District honors for the second straight year while also being named to the All-High Major Fourth Team by
College Sports Madness. Â
Last season the Utah Jazz finished fifth in the Western Conference with an overall record of 48-34 and made it to the second round of the NBA Playoffs. With the 21
st pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Jazz drafted Duke guard Grayson Allen.
