CHICAGO – Former Western Michigan goalie and current accountant, Scott Foster, made his National Hockey League Debut at the age of 36 in the Chicago Blackhawks 6-2 win over Winnipeg on Thursday night.

Foster was brought in as an emergency goalie in the final 14 minutes of the game and saved all seven shots he faced. He came in to replace backup goalie Collin Delia, who started in place of the injured Anton Forsberg. The Oak Park, Ill., resident has been the emergency goalie for the Blackhawks on many occasions, but Thursday night was the first time he suited up.

With his appearance he joins Glenn Healy as the only other WMU goalie to play in the NHL.

Foster played at Western Michigan from 2002-06, making 49 career starts and playing in 55 games. He finished with a 20-22-6 record.
