Scouting the Broncos
The Broncos head into Saturday's match-up with an overall record of 4-4 after falling to USC Upstate last Saturday. This will be the third team from the Horizon League that WMU has faced this season, coming away victorious over Detroit Mercy and Oakland early this year.
Double-Double Duo
Western Michigan is the only team in the NCAA to have two players with three or more double-doubles this season. Senior
Seth Dugan has five double-doubles while fellow senior
Josh Davis has three.
Dugan Among the NCAA Elite
The Otsego, Mich., native is one of just 22 players in the nation to be averaging a double-double at 19 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Dugan ranks ninth in the NCAA with five double-doubles and 12
th in rebounds per game.
Free For a Reason
WMU is one of just five schools in the Mid-American Conference to have two or more players rank in the top 15 in free-throw percentage. Sophomore
Kawanise Wilkins leads WMU and ranks second in the MAC with a .885 free-throw percentage.
Playing the Best Mid-Majors
Western Michigan is set to match-up with six teams that are either ranked or receiving votes in the
College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
On the Horizon
The Broncos will enjoy yet another week in-between games before taking on nationally ranked Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 15 inside Crisler Arena. WMU then travels to Dayton on Dec. 19 before a home tilt with Milwaukee on Saturday, Dec. 22.
