WMU Faces UC Riverside in Non-Conference Finale

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With over a week off for the holidays the Western Michigan men's basketball team returns to the court for its non-conference finale against UC Riverside on Sunday, Dec. 30 inside University Arena.

Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into the final game of 2018 with an overall record of 5-7 and seeks its sixth straight non-conference finale victory. The Broncos have been balanced offensively with three players averaging in double figures. Sophomore guard Michael Flowers leads the team with 15.5 points per game.

Ending Non-Conference Play
For the second straight season and third time in the last four years, the Broncos will end non-conference play with at least five wins. Since 2002, WMU has captured 116 non-conference victories.

Against the Golden State
In 28 meetings against Division I schools from California, the Broncos have an overall record of 13-15. Of the 25 DI teams in California, WMU has played 12.

Jared Prin-Three
Junior Jared Printy has been the go-to option for the long ball this season, leading WMU with 24 three's. Printy has made a three-pointer in every game this season and has made at least one in 13 consecutive regular season games.

Over the 900 Mark
Western Michigan needs just 12 points to go over 900 total points during non-conference play for the fifth year in a row.

On the Horizon
After Sunday's contest, WMU will head into Mid-American Conference play with its first two conference games on the road at Akron (Jan.5) and at Kent State (Jan. 8). The Broncos return home on Saturday, Jan. 12 against defending MAC West champion Toledo.
