AMES, IOWA -- The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up competition at the Iowa State Classic and the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Saturday.

At Iowa State
Lindsey Hufnagel continued her consistent run in the 400-meter dash, finishing with a time of 56.45.

At Grand Valley the Bronc shined in the 60-meter hurdles, taking fourth, fifth and sixth place. Sophomore
Diana Holsey took fourth at 9.0 seconds, followed by
Jade McKnight at 9.08 and
Gabrielle Collins at 9.24.

Junior Makenzie Evers had a personal-best time of 2:20.83 in the 800-meter run, while sophomore
Kaniya Weatherspoon took eighth overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.94.

"It's winding down now," said head coach
Kelly Lycan. "We have the meet at Ball State next week and then it's on the the MAC Championship. We are on a slow upward trend but these next couple of weeks we've got to get things going."

The Broncos take part in the Ball State Quad meet next Friday.
