KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan men's tennis defeated Ball State 5-2 Saturday afternoon at Sorenson Courts on senior day. The four seniors on the Broncos led the way with each senior earning a win.

With one more match left in the regular season the Brown and Gold have clinched at least a share of the Mid-American Championship. The Broncos, who are the only team in the MAC with one loss, finish the regular season out at Toledo and win the conference outright with a win over Toledo or a Binghamton loss. 

In doubles, seniors Stephen Payne and Ruben Greiner defeated Lucas Andersen and Patrick downs 6-3 at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore Jefta Kecic and senior Jimmy Beckwith defeated Jan Jirus and Matt Helm at No. 3 doubles 7-6 (7-2) to earn the doubles point for the Broncos. 

In singles, Kecic started things off winning in straight sets at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3. Hamilton defeated Nemanja Guzina at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-1 to put the Broncos up 3-0. Senior Andrew Cahn clicnhed the match for Broncos by defeating Marko Guzina 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

Senior Ruben Greiner picked up the fifth point for the Broncos at No. 4 singles by defeating Conner Andersen 7-5, 6-2.

The Broncos will play their final match of the regular season Sunday April 24th at Toledo.
