KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team jumped up to sixth in the Great Lakes Region of the National Soccer Coaches Association of American Regional Rankings on Tuesday.

The jump comes after the Broncos (3-1-1) tied then No. 6 Notre Dame, 2-2, on Friday and went on to defeat Western Illinois on Sunday. WMU has only surrendered goals against nationally ranked opponents so far this season with two against No. 14 Wisconsin and two against the Fighting Irish. Other than that Western Michigan has not surrender a goal in its other three games, all wins.

The Broncos are ranked ahead of Nebraska, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Iowa. The team heads to reigning Big East Champions, No. 24 DePaul on Friday at 4 p.m.
