Head Coach Andy Murray
On the overall game tone...
"We've been challenged to score goals. I liked our game
from the get-go tonight. We talked about being a solid team, and returning to
some of the things that made us so successful for the greater part of the
season. Now we will prepare for tomorrow night's game."
On puck possession tonight...
"I thought our puck possession was really good. I
thought we really set the game up in the first ten minutes of the second. I
thought we had a lot of o-zone time, and we held on and made them play more in
their d-zone then they would have liked."
On the start of the game...
"I mean they started off with a good power play goal. I
actually liked our game at the start tonight. We showed up for the full hockey
game, and they weree quite a resiliant team."
On Warda's goal...
"It was a guy who played here at Michigan State. It was
a big goal for him personally and for the team. I thought that line was very
effective in the first and second periods tonight. I liked Ben when he got that
goal, but didn't like him very much when he got that penalty, kind of a
love-hate relationship for anyone who does that though."
Junior Forward Shane Berschbach
On his goal...
"It's awesome. I mean we figured the goals would come
if we just played our game and kept working hard."
On the second period...
"It was great to have a period like that. We played
real solid hockey against Notre Dame, and I think that carried over into this
weekend."
On Warda's goal...
"I saw a big smile on his face after he scored late in
the period. He told me on the bench how awesome it was, and I could't be
happier for the guy."
Senior Forward Ben Warda
On his goal...
"It felt great. I thought we were doing really well
right off the bat, and keeping pressure on them. My line mates were definitely
playing unbelievable down low and keeping pressure on them, and that makes it
easier."
On the second period...
"We had a solid second period. We came in and talked at
intermission and said we needed to pick our game up for sure."
