Overall thoughts…

“I give Alabama Huntsville a lot of credit because they played us hard today. I liked the composure of our team at the end of a 1-0 hockey game. We did the right things and won some key face offs and made some good decisions with the puck. We didn't give up a goal today and we got both goaltenders involved which wasn't intended but we found a way to win and that is the important thing.”

On the atmosphere of tournament play…

“It's interesting. We certainly wanted to win the game last night to put us in the championship game against Notre Dame tonight but we didn't score on some of our opportunities along with getting off to a poor start. I saw a very talented offensive team in Northeastern. There is a reason they are the eighth leading scorers in the country. They played very well with the puck. For us today we knew Alabama Huntsville was hungry for a win and that they were going to throw everything at us. We needed to manage the puck and we didn't score on some of the chances we needed to but we were solid on the defensive side.”

On defensive performance…

“We are certainly trying and we do need to generate more scoring chances. We also had a couple of other power play opportunities tonight. We are working on getting in shot lanes and our guys are working on getting back and we've also had solid goaltending which is a must to be successful.”
