Broncos Close Fall Season at Northwestern

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team will participate in their final competition of the fall season this weekend, as the Broncos travel to Northwestern to be part of the field at the Wildcat Invite.  The tournament will take place from October 26-28, and will feature a 10-team field with teams from five different conferences.

The format of the tournament will include two singles draws of 16 players, as well as a modified round-robin format for players not slated in either of those draws.  There will be just one doubles draw of 16 teams, as well as three extra matches.

The tournament kicks off at 9:30 a.m. CT on Friday with Flight A Singles, with Nadin Indre, Aaron Wong, and Ross VanderPloeg representing the Broncos.  Indre and VanderPloeg teamed together in doubles play at the ITA Midwest Regionals one week ago, making it to the semifinals, but this weekend the duo will be split; Indre will team with freshman Andrew Cahn in the Flight A Doubles, while VanderPloeg will be paired with freshman Stephen Payne.
