BUFFALO -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team surrendered two leads and could not complete the comeback as the Broncos fell at Buffalo, 3-2, on Sunday afternoon.
Anina Cicerone netted the games first goal in the 32nd minute to give Western Michigan (7-7-0, 3-3 MAC) a 1-0 lead. The shot was initially a cross that the goalie couldn't handle and it went into the net for her seventh of the season.
Stephanie Skowneski compounded on her career-high assist total with her seventh on the goal.
The Bulls came back on a goal by Katie Kerr with just 43 seconds left in the first half. Karen McMahon sent a cross towards the back post and Kerr slotted it into the lower right side of the net to tie the game 1-1.

Nikolette Rivera played the ball to the right to Chaney, who beat the Buffalo keeper hign on the right side of the net to give WMU a 2-1 advantage.
The lead didn't last as Katie Roberts netted her first of two goals on the day in the 52nd minute. Aubrey Stahl played Roberts in behind the WMU goalkeeper
Michelle Watson and she knocked home her fourth goal of the season. Roberts' game-winning goal came in the 61st minute when she slotted home the ball into the lower right side of the net after a through ball from Megan Giesen.
Watson made 10 saves on the day, with Buffalo holding a 13-9 shot on goal advantage.
A rematch of the 2010 MAC Tournament Championship game awaits the Broncos on Friday when they host Central Michigan. WMU will also celibrate the careers of its seniors on Sunday at 1 p.m. when they host Eastern Michigan.
