We rejoin our 2010 Western Michigan football fall camp feature "10 Questions With ..." a day early as the Broncos prepare for their final full scrimmage on Tuesday afternoon.  WMU said good-bye to an all-conference linebacker after the 2009 season but says hello to someone that may have all-conference talent in another.  It's 10 Questions With ... Dex Jones.

Jones transferred to Western Michigan after spending the 2008 season as a true freshman at the University of Wisconsin.  The Badgers saw Jones as a fullback and moved him over to offense.  After deciding on the transfer, the six-foot, 245-lb Bolingbrook, Ill., native sat out the 2009 season per NCAA transfer rules and is now on path to make an impact for the Bronco defense in 2010.

During this past spring season, Jones showed his propensity for the big hit as he made stop after stop.  One that stands out came on a screen pass to Aaron Winchester.  Jones battled through the protection and put an end to the play with an exclamation point, leaving Winchester to look around for his blockers.  Jones has the chance to be an exciting player to watch for Bronco fans as are the rest of the linebackers this season.

We talked to Jones about the moment when he realized football was the sport for him and asked what he likes to do with friends when he is away from the football field. 

Tuesday will be the Broncos' final scrimmage of fall camp and it will pit mainly the second and third team offenses and defenses against one another.  We will return to our feature when he highlight a redshirt freshman cornerback that had a successful spring season and has carried that through to fall camp.
