The Bulldogs beat the Broncos into their zone and had a two man break. Adam Miller found a streaking Justin Lewandowski who beat WMU goaltender Riley Gill. Miller and Jim Jorgensen each picked up assists on the power-play goal.

Less than 10 seconds later Ferris State added their fifth goal of the night. Brendan Conolly went top self after Gill made a save and was down on the ice to push the Bulldogs to a 5-2 lead.
Paeth added his second goal of his career at the 16:00 mark. Jordan Collins and Tyler Ludwig each earned assists and shorten the Bronco deficit to two goals, 5-3.
