BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb. 4) ? Ferris State completed a weekend sweep of Western Michigan with a 7-2 victory Saturday evening at Ewigleben Arena.  The Broncos were playing their third game in five days.

For the second night in a row, the Bulldogs scored three times in the second period to pull away.  Joe Van Culin, Corey Couturier and Dan Riedel lit the lamp for the Bulldogs, who took all four games from WMU this season.

Greg Rallo scored a pair of special teams goals to give FSU a 2-0 lead just eight minutes into the game.  Rallo buried a one-timer at the back post then followed with a shot that was redirected by a defenseman's stick.

WMU received goals from Paul Szczechura and Matt Clackson.  Szczechura's tally came off a wrist shot at the 11:11 mark of the first period while Clackson scored his first goal of the season at 8:14 of the third.

Brent Walton assisted on Szczechura's goal to move into a share of 19th place on WMU's all-time scoring list with his 146th career point.  The assistant captain has six points (4-2) in his last seven games.

“The big key tonight was turnovers, we have to make better decisions with the puck,” said WMU coach Jim Culhane. “Ferris was able to get several odd-man rushes and they're a good team in transition.”

WMU plays host to Michigan Tuesday (Feb. 7) in a 7:35 p.m. puck drop from Lawson Arena.
