KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan closed its 2006 regular season with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Bowling Green at the WMU Soccer Complex.  The Broncos (6-11-1, 3-2-0 MAC) may face Bowling Green again as early as Tuesday  (Oct. 31), as WMU plays host to a Mid-American Conference Tournament Quarterfinal match.

Bowling Green (3-13-1, 0-5-0 MAC) struck just four minutes into the match on Jason Lawrence's second goal of the year.

WMU responded with goals from its top two scorers.  Tom Oatley notched his sixth marker of the season in the 23rd minute to tie the contest before halftime.  Oatley finished with six total shots, including four on goal. Terry Dowding then tallied the game-winning goal with 11 minutes left in regulation.  Seniors Dan Picmann and Dustin Snyder assisted on the goals in their final regular season home appearance.

"I thought we dominated most of the match," said coach Chris Karwoski, whose squad is unbeaten in its last seven encounters (6-0-1) versus the Falcons.  "Our guys know its the time of the year where everybody needs to step up and make a contribution."

Casey Aubil made six saves in net for the Broncos, who finished with a 19-13 shot advantage.
