Box Score

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Western Michigan will have to wait another day to even the score against their arch-rivals to the north.

The Broncos, who saw their season ended by Central Michigan last year in the Mid-American Conference Tournament, fell to the Chippewas, 2-0, Sunday afternoon on the road.

CMU struck early and late in the contest, as Alison Heydorn scored at the two minute mark and Jacquie Lacek in the 88th minute.

The Broncos were outshot, 18-8, with Thalia Playford accounting for four of the shots.  Jessica Laning made four saves in the Bronco net in her second straight start.

WMU (3-12-1/2-6-0 MAC) will host Miami this Friday (Oct. 20) at the WMU Soccer Complex.
