Box Score

BUFFALO -- The Western Michigan University men's soccer team completed a weekend sweep with a 1-0 win over Canisius in non-conference action Sunday.  WMU defeated Buffalo, 1-0, Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Charlie Watts scored his first collegiate goal, knocking in a rebound from the left corner of the box in the 31st minute for the game-winner.  Greg Shepka came off the bench to assist on the play.

Goaltender Casey Aubil did not have to make any saves to record his third shutout of the season.  WMU finished with a 17-9 advantage in total shots.

"I'm really pleased with our play this weekend, considering all the distractions that came with traveling," said Karwoski.  "I feel we're turning the corner and have a chance to finish this season really strong."

WMU travels to IPFW this Friday (Oct. 20) for a Mid-American Conference match.
