KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Matching the highest one-game completion percentage of his career at
74.2 percent, Tim Hiller became the second Bronco in as many weeks to
earn a MAC Player of the Week Award, earning Offensive POTW for the
West Division. Hiller threw four touchdowns for the third time in his
career, leading WMU to a 51-28 win at Idaho.
Hiller earned the third MAC West POTW Award thanks in large part to completing 23 of his 31 pass attempts., matching the highest completion percentage of his career. Through three games, Hiller is completing 67.3 percent of his passes and he is just 21 completions away from passing current WMU staff member Ryan Cubit for fourth on the career list.
His four passing strikes tied Brad
Tayles for second most passing TDs in WMU history with 49 and counting. Hiller's next touchdown pass will join him with Tim Lester as the only Western Michigan quarterbacks to throw for 50 or more touchdowns in a career. The Orrville, Ohio, native has a 9-to-1 TD to interception ratio through three
games in 2008.
Hiller joins Louis Delmas in the hardware department as the senior free safety was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Northen Illinois on Sept. 8.
