KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan baseball team dropped an 11-3 decision to The Citadel on Saturday in the middle game of the two teams' three-game weekend series.

The Citadel opened the scoring for the second straight day, plating a run in the top of the first.
Dylan Nevar got the Broncos even in the second, as he led the frame off with a solo homer down the right field line. It was the third of the season for the redshirt senior.
Western Michigan then went ahead in the fourth, with Nevar again coming through for the Brown and Gold.
Lucas Rick doubled with one out, and after moving to third on a wild pitch, scored on a Nevar base hit to put WMU on top, 2-1.
The Bulldogs regained the lead in the next half inning with a nine-run outburst. The Citadel added an insurance tally in the sixth to make it 11-2.
WMU pushed across the contest's last run in the ninth, as
Tanner Mally delivered his third knock of the game, a two-out, RBI single.
