Men's Tennis Falls in MAC Championship

Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis season came to an end after the Broncos fell to Buffalo, 4-2, at Sorensen Courts on Sunday afternoon. 

DOUBLES
WMU started off strong, earning the doubles point. Ashton Adesoro and Jack Davison picked up a 6-2 win at No. 2 over Theodoris Mistakos and Michael Malkin. Senior Brogan Pierce and sophomore Drew Evans then secured the point with a 6-3 win at No. 1 over Cheng Tang and Daniils Saiders. 

SINGLES
Freshman Alex Antonopoulos pushed WMU's lead to 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Malkin at No. 5. UB's Faiz Nasyam got the Bulls the scoreboard with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6 to cut the lead to 2-1. Clement Mainguy tied the score at 2-2 with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 win over Oscar Corwin at No. 3. Shortly after Snaiders gave the Bulls the lead and put them on match point after a 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-3 win over Pierce at No. 4. Arzahnkin held a big lead in the third set in his battle at No. 1 over Theodoris Mistakos, but before he could finish, Tang defeated Adesoro 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 to win the match for Buffalo.
