Hannah Spitzley and
Megan Wagner from the Western Michigan women's basketball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Carlson receives the honors for the first time in her career. The junior guard has a 3.63 GPA in exercise science. Kouki, who also earns the honors for the first time, boasts a 3.92 GPA in human resources. This is the third straight season that Spitzley has earned the honors. She holds a 4.00 GPA while working towards a graduate certificate in Holism & Contemplative Health. Wager is also a first-time honoree, with a 4.00 GPA while working toward her MBA.
