Women's Tennis Heads to Indiana on Friday, Hosts EIU on Sunday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team heads to Indiana University on Friday to take on the Hoosiers at 1 p.m. before returning home to host Eastern Illinois on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. 

The Broncos split a pair of home matches last weekend, falling to Youngstown State 7-0 but rebounding to beat Cleveland State, 5-2, on Sunday. The Broncos are 1-2 on the road this season, with the lone win coming at Valparaiso, 4-0. 

The Hoosiers started of the Spring 3-0 but have since dropped four straight matches to Virginia Tech, Marshall and Xavier. Six of IU's seven matches have been at home this season. 

EIU is 2-7 on the season and has dropped its last four matches. The Panthers will visit Eastern Michigan on Saturday before heading to Kalamazoo on Sunday. All nine of Eastern Illinois' matches have been away from home, with six road contests and three at neutral sites. 

WMU is back in action next Saturday at the University of Illinois for a double-header against UI on Saturday at 10 a.m. and then Chicago State at 4 p.m. The Broncos return home for a double-header against UIC and Oakland on Saturday, March 8 beginning at 11 a.m.
