Baudouin Picks Up Two Singles Wins to Highlight MSU Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- While a few members of the Western Michigan women's tennis team competed at the Mid-American Conference Fall Championships, the rest of the team headed over to East Lansing for the 2025 Michigan State Classic. 

DOUBLES
Both Bronco doubles teams dropped their opening matches, but went on to earn wins in consolation matches. Sienna Osborne and Ayana Yaguchi picked up a 6-4 win over DePaul's Hannah Smith and Clara Nilsson. Marielou Baudouin and Xintong Jiang picked up a 6-4 win over the Blue Demons' team of Sasha Sakura Stula and Helin Alvarez. 

SINGLES
In singles action, Osborne and Baudouin both picked up wins in the final day's action. Osborn defeated MSU's Hanna Tsitavets 6-3, 6-1. Baudouin picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Nilsson. Prior to that, Baudouin earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over the Spartans' Sara Fazlagic on Saturday.

The Broncos have a week off before heading to the ITA Midwest Regionals hosted by the University of Illinois.
