Women's Tennis Hosts YSU on Saturday, Cleveland State on Sunday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team resumes action after a bye week to host Youngstown State on Saturday and Cleveland State on Saturday and Sunday at West Hills Athletic Club. Both matches start at 11 a.m. 

Admission is free and live scoring is available at www.wmustats.com.

The Broncos (5-2) are back at home after three-straight road matches at Notre Dame, Valparaiso and Michigan State. WMU dropped the matches to the Fighting Irish and the Spartans, but earned a 4-0 win at Valpo. WMU is a perfect 4-0 so far at home this season. 

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Youngstown State comes to Kalamazoo with a 5-4 record and a two-match winning streak with victories over Slippery Rock and Bowling Green. YSU also has wins over Miami Ohio, Oral Roberts and Weber State this season. 

Cleveland State is 3-5 after a loss at Eastern Michigan on Friday. The Vikings have wins over Dayton, Miami and Mount. St. Mary's.

HOME SWEET HOME
Including this weekend, Western Michigan has seven of its next 10 matches at home. Over the next few weeks the Broncos will host Eastern Illinois, UIC, Oakland and then Ball State and Eastern Michigan as things transfer in to Mid-American Conference play. 

ON THE HORIZON
The Broncos split between the road and home next weekend. WMU heads to Indiana on Friday before hosting EIU on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
