THIS WEEK
Western Michigan heads to the opposite side of the state to wrap up the regular season at Eastern Michigan on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The game can be watched live on ESPN2 and heard live on the Bronco Media Network.

THE SERIES
Western Michigan leads the all-time series at 32-21-2. WMU Head Coach Lance Taylor is 2-0 all-time against EMU, with the Broncos taking the last two games of the series. Tuesday is also the second-straight season that the two teams have wrapped up the regular season against each other.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
A win over Eastern Michigan sends the Broncos to the 2025 MAC Championship Game at Ford Field on Dec. 6 at 12 p.m. on ESPN.

College football writer Andrew Graham has detailed the 32 possible outcomes for the MAC title game at his website mitten-football.ghost.io. 25 of those 32 outcomes involve WMU making its way to Ford Field, with 16 of them involving a win over the Eagles.

AND ONE
The 2025 Western Michigan football team has a chance to join some of the best historical teams in program history. A win against Eastern Michigan would have them finish with a 7-1 record in MAC play. That has happened just six times since the Broncos joined the conference in 1948 (includes the 2016 8-0 MAC Championship team). All three of WMU's MAC Championship teams are among the six, with the 2016 8-0 team coached by PJ Fleck, the 1988 7-1 championship team coached by Al Molde and the 1966 5-1 team coached by Bill Doolittle. The Broncos went 7-1 in 2000 under Gary Darnell and fell to Marshall in the MAC Championship game. Molde had another one-conference loss season in 1993, going 6-1-1. John Gill coached the Broncos to a 3-1 MAC record in 1948, the first year in the conference for Western Michigan.

ADD ONE
Western Michigan redshirt sophomore quarterback Broc Lowry enters Tuesday's game with 12 rushing touchdowns on the season. The mark matches Albert Little's WMU's modern record for a quarterback (Walt Olsen had 17 during the 1916 season, which included eight against the Grand Rapids Veterinary School) that was set back in 1978. No Bronco quarterback has had more than seven (Zach Terrell, 2016) until Lowry.

ADD... A BUNCH OF RUSHING YARDS
Broc Lowry also already has the WMU record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a season with 783 and has the potential to be the first one to lead the team in rushing since Paul Jorgensen on the 1973 team (476 yards). Lowry is just 249 yards away from tying Ted Grignon for the most career rushing yards by a quarterback. Grignon had 1,165 yards rushing in 30 games between 1969-71.

TWO BIG SIGNS OF VICTORY
Western Michigan's six MAC wins are its most since the 2016 season and all six have two big things in common. In each of those conference wins, the Broncos have held opponents under 300 total yards of offense. Also in those six victories, the Broncos had the advantage in time of possession. The only team to put up more than 300 yards of total offense and win the time of possession battle against WMU was Miami. The RedHawks had 408 yards and 30:29 in possession in their 26-17 win over the Broncos.
