EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Western Michigan men's soccer team led in every statistical category, but goals scored in a 2-0 loss to the Evansville Purple Aces on Saturday night.
The Broncos outshot the Aces 13 to nine and had two more corner kicks but weren't able to find the net at Evansville. Junior defender
Braxton Arpachinda had another strong offensive outing for WMU, leading the team with three shots and one on goal. In total the Brown and Gold had eight different players record a shot with
Sahel Yessen,
Jonathan Stout, and
Gabe Villagomez having two chances each.
Western Michigan returns home to the Farm for its final non-conference match of 2025. The Broncos will host Detroit Mercy on Wednesday, Oct. 8 to wrap up non-conference play. Kick-off from WMU Soccer Complex is set for 4:00 p.m.
