Box Score SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team dropped its match at Notre Dame, 7-0, on Saturday.
The Broncos dropped the doubles point after suffering losses at No. 2 and No. 3 by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
In singles, the Fighting Irish won every match by in two sets.
"We had a tough test today in Notre Dame," said head coach Joelle Kissell. "They came out with a lot of energy and confidence and carried that throughout the match. It was good to be able to see that level early in our season and our girls were fighting hard. We will take the lessons we learned form this match and be even hungrier in practice and on the court.
The Broncos are back in action next weekend, heading to Valparaiso on Saturday for a match at 2 p.m. and then to Michigan State on Sunday for a 10 a.m. match.
