CJ Richmond earning Midwest All-Region Second Team honors. The All-Region Teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Richmond hit .380, the second-highest average in the conference, on the way to an All-MAC First Team selection this season. The junior was also second in the league in both on-base percentage (.479) and RBIs (67). His 67 RBIs trailed only teammate
Dylan Nevar, who set a single-season Western Michigan program record with 71 runs batted in.
A native of Indianapolis, Richmond tied for the MAC lead with 18 doubles and launched 13 home runs, tied for 10th in the league, on the way to tying the WMU single-season record with 142 total bases. He posted the highest OPS in the conference at 1.146, and was also among the league leaders in hits (81, 3rd) and slugging percentage (.667, 4th).
