KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan University and head men's basketball coach
Dwayne Stephens have announced the addition of Sam Little to the program as an assistant coach/video coordinator.
"Sam comes to our program highly recommended by many in the industry," coach Stephens said. "He is a hard worker and a great young mind in our game. We look forward to the impact he will have on our program!"
Little arrives in Kalamazoo with experience at both the collegiate and prep school levels. Most recently, he spent the 2023-24 season as the video coordinator at Stanford, where he took charge of all video operations for the program, helped scout opponents and assisted with recruiting operations.
Prior to his time with the Cardinal, he was an assistant coach at Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif. During the 2022-23 campaign, he was responsible for scouting and player development on both sides of the ball. Before arriving in Napa, Little served a stint as the Director of Basketball Operations at Tarleton State.
Little graduated from the University of Texas in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology – Sport Management, which included a minor in Coaching. While in Austin, he was a four-year manager for the Longhorns.
Following his graduation from UT, Little spent the 2021-22 season as a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas. While with the Razorbacks, he was responsible for live coding practices and games and assisted with scouting of opposing teams.
