TOLEDO, Ohio – The No. 2 seeded Western Michigan women's tennis team is set to make its first appearance in the Mid-American Conference Tournament since 2019 as it takes on Miami on Friday at 2 p.m. at the University of Toledo.

It's been a while since the Broncos have been in the tournament, but it has been even longer since they have won a match at the tournament. WMU's last win was over the RedHawks, back in 2016. Western Michigan defeated Miami, 4-2, to advance to the MAC Tournament Championship match after it had defeated Toledo in the quarterfinals.
The Broncos and the RedHawks will face each other in back-to-back matches, as MU made the trip to Kalamazoo last Sunday to wrap up the 2023-24 regular season. Western Michigan victorious, 4-3, to secure the No. 2 seed. The winner of this match will take on the winner of Toledo and Eastern Michigan, which takes place at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Jimmy Beckwith led the Broncos to a 7-3 record in MAC play, the most conference wins since the Broncos also posted seven back in 2014-15.
