KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan football team and second-year head coach
Lance Taylor have unveiled the 2024 schedule on Tuesday. The Broncos are slated to host five home games, including four Saturday games at Waldo Stadium. The action kicks off with Bethune Cookman on Sept. 14 for the annual CommUniverCity Game.
Remaining Home Games Slate:
- Buster's Block Party and Tailgate Concert: Catch the MAC home-opener on Saturday, Oct. 12 vs. Akron. Buster's Block Party and the tailgate concert are back for the third season.
- Homecoming, Hall of Fame & Family Weekend: The Broncos face Kent State for Homecoming, Hall of Fame, and Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 26.
- MACtion: Witness the lone mid-week #MACtion home game on Wednesday, Nov. 6, against Northern Illinois for the annual Military Appreciation game.
- Rivalry Showdown: The regular season concludes as the Broncos hosts rivals Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 30.
Western Michigan opens the season with a pair of road games against the Big 10. WMU heads to Madison, Wis., to take on Wisconsin on Saturday, Aug. 31, and then heads to Ohio State the following Saturday. The Broncos have a bye week before traveling to Marshall on Saturday, Sept. 28, wrapping up non-conference play. Western Michigan is on the road to open MAC play, traveling to Ball State on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Broncos later make the trek out to Buffalo on Saturday, Oct. 12, while WMU visits Bowling Green on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in its second week of #MACtion. The Battle for the Cannon will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Central Michigan.
The MAC Championship game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Ford Field in Detroit. This will be the first MAC Championship game with the new scheduling format. With no conference divisions, the top two conference teams will play each other in the championship game.

Kenneth Womack,
Addison West,
Anthony Sambucci, and MAC Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American running back,
Jalen Buckley. Additionally, the Broncos signed the highest-rated recruiting class since 2016, widely recognized as the second highest in the MAC.
Spring Showcase Extravaganza: Mark your calendars for the annual Spring Showcase on Saturday, April 20. Open to the public, the event promises pre-game activities such as a tailgate and fan fest, offering fans a sneak peek of what's to come next season.
