The Western Michigan track and field team had a strong day of competition, headlined by
Mabinty Kebe cracking the program's top 10 in the 400-meter hurdles at the Texas Relays.
Kebe finished with a time of 59.15 and advanced to the finals, which features runners from some of the top programs around the nation. Her time was good for 10th in program history.
Also competing for the Broncos in Texas today were
Claira Gilchrist and
Mimi Joseph. Gilchrist also ran in the 400-meter hurdles, earning a time of 1:08.79. Joseph was strong in the long jump, finishing the event with a mark of 5.50 meters.
In North Carolina, three Broncos took part in the shot put at the Raleigh Relays.
Tess Van Dyk led the way with a throw of 13.55 meters.
Bri'Yanna Robinson wasn't too far behind with a mark of 13.29 meters.
Lane Hagens finished the meet for the Broncos with a throw of 13.10 meters.
