OMAHA, Neb. - Former Western Michigan outside hitter
Maggie King has been signed to the practice squad for the Omaha Supernovas of the Pro Volleyball Federation. King becomes the first former Bronco to sign with a PVF team.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, King recently wrapped up an outstanding five-year career at Western Michigan, which saw her named to the All-MAC First Team each of her last four seasons. She was also a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and a four-time Academic All-MAC honoree. King concluded her WMU career ranked second in program history in career kills (1,849) and points (2,052.0), and as the all-time leader in both matches played (146) and sets played (528).
The Omaha Supernovas are members of the Pro Volleyball Federation, a new professional volleyball league and the premier women's volleyball league in North America. At 6-3, the Supernovas are currently atop the PVF standings.
