KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- After an off week in the schedule, the Western Michigan track and field team will continue its indoor season this week at the Meyo Invitational, which is hosted by Notre Dame. Competition will begin on Friday, Feb. 2 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 3.
LAST TIME OUT

Bri'Yanna Robinson,
Danielle Rinn and
Kayla Schiera cracking the all-time top 10 in their respective events. The Brown and Gold also saw more than five personal-best times/marks during the meet.
RECORD BREAKERS
It's been an incredible start to the season for WMU, as it has seen multiple athletes crack the top-10 in program history in a variety of events. In just three indoor meets, Western Michigan has had nine different marks enter the top-10, including a new school record in the 60-meter hurdles.
Grace Johnson,
Bri'Yanna Robinson,
Soniya Jones,
Mabinty Kebe,
Danielle Rinn,
Kayla Schiera and
Sandra Ferrari have all entered the record book so far this season.
TRIO OF TOP-10 MARKS
For the second consecutive meet, the Broncos were able to have three student-athletes notch top-10 marks in program history. At the Butler Invitational on Jan. 20,
Bri'Yanna Robinson was able to land at fourth all-time in the shot put. She had a throw of 14.84 meters.
Following that were
Danielle Rinn and
Kayla Schiera in the 3K. Rinn was able to land at No. 7 all-time, crossing the finish line in a time of 9:41.94, while Schiera nabbed the No. 9 spot in program history with a time of 9:45.00.
PR PERFORMANCES
Over the course of the season, Western Michigan student-athletes have taken big jumps in their development, as evidence by the number of personal-best marks that have been produced in just three meets this season.
In the team's first three indoor meets, the Broncos have posted better than 25 personal-best marks across the running, throwing and jumping events. That includes double-digit personal bests at the Butler Invitational back on Jan. 20.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The Western Michigan track and field team hasn't just been producing athletic results, as the group posted one of the best team GPA's in the entire athletic department. For the fall semester, the Broncos earned a 3.58 grade-point average, including 11 student athletes with a 4.0 GPA. Furthermore, 21 members of the team were able to produce a 3.5 GPA or better.
