Broncos Move Up to No. 6 in Nation

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Thanks to a series victory over Denver this past weekend, Western Michigan was able to move up in the latest national polls.

WMU moved up to No. 6 in both the USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls. The Brown and Gold were able to jump over Michigan in both rankings. Western Michigan has been ranked in every poll since Oct. 11, 2021.

The Broncos were joined in the polls by DU, St. Cloud State, Colorado College, Arizona State and North Dakota. The NCHC remains the only team in college hockey to have six teams ranked.

WMU has some time off before it hits the ice again, as the next game on the schedule is set for Dec. 29 at Van Andel Arena. The Brown and Gold will open the GLI against Michigan Tech at 3:30 PM. For tickets, visit GLIHockey.com
