CLEVELAND – Logan Case of the Western Michigan volleyball team has been named the MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday. Case is the fourth different Bronco to earn a MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week award so far in 2024-25, joining Jen Blitchok (women's soccer, twice), Anton Arzhankin (men's tennis) and Hayden Wolff (football).
A French major who boasts a 4.00 GPA, Case totaled 68 assists (11.33/set), 14 digs (2.33/set) and served up five aces (0.83/set) last week on the way to earning her third MAC Setter of the Week award of 2024.
In Friday's victory over Toledo, she handed out 35 assists, picked up eight digs and had a season-high four service aces. She followed that up with 33 assists and six digs on Saturday as the Broncos swept the Rockets for the second straight night. During Saturday's contest, Case moved into second in MAC history for career assists with 6,077.
