Broncos Move Up in National Rankings

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After a weekend sweep over Ferris State, the Western Michigan hockey team moved up in the national rankings this week. The USCHO and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls were released this afternoon. 

The Broncos moved up one spot to No. 16 in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live poll, while they stayed at No. 17 in the USCHO poll. WMU was just 10 points behind No. 15 Wisconsin in the USA Hockey rankings. 

The NCHC was well represented, as Denver, North Dakota, Colorado College, Omaha and St. Cloud State were all ranked. Arizona State and Minnesota Duluth were receiving votes in both polls. 

The Brown and Gold will be home for two games this week, hosting Bowling Green on Thursday, Oct. 17 and York University on Saturday, Oct. 19. Thursday's game will begin at 7 PM, while Saturday's puck drop is set for 6 PM at Lawson Arena.
