KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Karin Hamilton, Maya Perkucin and Kailtyn Rogosch from the Western Michigan women's tennis team have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District for the 2022-23 season.
Hamilton sports a perfect 4.0 GPA in psychology and played primarily at No. 2 singles in the spring. The Calgary, Alberta, native went 5-5 in MAC play and 9-7 in dual matches, including 9-4 at No. 2. She also went 15-5 overall with freshman Audrey Smitek in doubles.
Perkucin also boasts a 4.0 GPA in biomedical sciences. Perkucin went 6-7 in dual matches during the spring, playing primarily at No. 4. She also competed nine times in doubles.
Rogosch has a 3.53 GPA in civil engineering. She wrapped up her Western Michigan career going 4-5 in singles matches in dual play, while also picking four wins in doubles.
All three earn the honors for the first time.
