CLEVELAND – The Western Michigan women's tennis duo of senior Lindsey Zieglar and junior Valeriya Monko have been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.

Zielgar and Monko went 2-0 as the Broncos swept Tennessee State and Bethune Cookman. Against TSU they earned a 6-3 win over Naoimi Von Bose and Warona Mdlulwa at No. 1. Against BCU they were again slotted at No. 1 and earned a 6-1 victory over Diarra Thomas and Janet Imbo Nloga. The pair are 8-3 this Spring, all coming at No. 1.

This is WMU's first weekly MAC honors of the season.

The Broncos return home to host Purdue Northwest on Wednesday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at West Hills Athletic Club. Admission is free.
