Broncos, Spartans Announce Changes for Home-and-Home

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan and Michigan State announced changes to their upcoming home-and-home baseball series on Monday evening.

The Broncos and Spartans were scheduled to meet on back-to-back Wednesdays, March 22 and 29, with Kalamazoo's Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field serving as the site for the first meeting, and McLean Stadium at Kobs Field in East Lansing playing host to the second matchup the following week. The two programs have decided to flip home dates, with MSU now welcoming Western Michigan to East Lansing this Wednesday, March 22, at 3:05 pm. The Spartans will come to Kalamazoo the following Wednesday, March 29, for a 3:05 pm first pitch in what will now be WMU's 2023 Home Opener.

Wednesday's game at MSU begins a stretch of five consecutive games for the Broncos against Big Ten opposition. Following its first clash with the Spartans, WMU is set to head to Iowa City this weekend for a three-game series against Iowa. The Hawkeyes are ranked 20th in this week's Collegiate Baseball Top-30 poll.
