WMU opens its spring slate at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, Mich., on Wednesday, March 1, at 2 pm against Detroit City FC. The Broncos then hit the road for a match against Michigan Stars FC on Sunday, March 19, at 1 pm.
On Saturday, March 25, at 12 pm, Western Michigan hosts Purdue Fort Wayne for its first home matchup of the spring season. WMU faces Northwood University at home on Sunday, April 2, at noon to mark the halfway point of the spring season. The Broncos then play two matches on the road. On Saturday, April 8, WMU plays a doubleheader against NAIA member Lawrence Tech and Horizon League member Oakland University in Rochester, Mich. The Broncos conclude the spring season with an international matchup with CNSC Windsor Croatia at noon on Sunday, April 16, at WMU Soccer Complex.
Western Michigan ended a historic season with a 16-3-2 record, making its third NCAA appearance and reaching the Sweet 16 of the NCAA DI National Tournament for the second time. The Broncos secured the last-ever Mid-American Conference Championship and closed out the season as the top-ranked defensive team in the nation.
