CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday afternoon the 2023 Women's Cross Country Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 68 student-athletes were named to this year's squad.
Western Michigan's MAC All-Academic honorees included: Delaney Knoll, Lauren Sancrant, Kayla Schiera, Brooke Soper, Katelyn Spooner and Madison Zarembski. Despite needing just a 3.20 to qualify, each student-athlete was at 3.50 or higher.  The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

Soper is a three-time honoree, while Spooner and Knoll have earned the award twice in their careers. Sancrant, Schiera and Zarembski are all first time-honorees.
