EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The Western Michigan cross country team recorded a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional this morning at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course. It was the best team finish since claiming 13th in 2022.
As she has all season,
Lily Overton paced the team by crossing the finish line in a time of 21:12.90. That was good for 54th place.
Lara Machado Pereira wasn't too far behind her, grabbing 82nd place with a time of 21:43.13.
Ava Kurczewski was the next Bronco to finish, as she placed 96th with a PR time of 21:51.34.
Madison Zarembski was next for the Brown and Gold, securing 106th place with a time of 22:02.31.
Rounding out the scoring lineup was
Larissa McGrath, who notched a 131st-place finish. She crossed the finish line in a time of 22:24.78. Despite not being in the scoring lineup,
Kaelin Hughes and
Rebekah Asselin still posted strong times. Hughes was 134th with a time of 22:25.49, while Asselin claimed 147th place with a time of 22:40.04.
