UNITED STATES -- TopDrawerSoccer released its postseason honors Monday for the 2023 season. For the first time in program history, multiple Broncos earned TopDrawerSoccer postseason honors in a single season. This year,
Charlie Sharp was named to the All-American First Team, while
Dylan Sing and
Jonathan Robinson claimed Third Team honors. Midfielder
Noah James rounded out the accolades by earning a spot on the Freshman Best XI First Team.
Charlie Sharp First Team
During the 2023 campaign, Sharp scored 19 goals, had eight assists and posted seven game winning goals. In 21 appearances, Sharp led the NCAA in goal scoring with his 19 strikes and was ranked second with his seven game winners. Sharp would also conclude the season as the total points leader with 46. His 19 goals, 46 points, eight assists, and seven game winners were all personal bests for the striker from Brighton, Michigan.
Dylan Sing Third Team
This year, forward Dylan Sing capped off his career year with 15 goals, eight assists, and 38 points in 22 appearances for WMU. His goals, assists, and total points marked season bests for the forward from Berrien Center, Michigan. During the 2023 campaign, Sing set the program record for the most consecutive games with a goal scored (eight straight games), which spanned from September 10 - October 11, where he averaged 1.25 goals per contest.
Jonathan Robinson Third Team
In 22 starts for the Brown and Gold, Robinson accumulated 13 assists and a goal during 2023. Robinson was a key leader in the backline for WMU, as the Broncos saw themselves claim the 6th best shutout percentage in NCAA Division I Men's Soccer at 54.5%. This year, Robinson's 13 assists ranked second in the NCAA. Robinson would also tie Giuliano Teixeira (2003) for the most assists recorded during a single season in WMU history.
Noah James Freshman Best XI First Team
In 22 appearances and 20 starts, James tallied one goal and three assists for the Brown and Gold. At the conclusion of this season TopDrawerSoccer ranked James as the seventh best freshman in the class of 2027. His lone goal in 2023 proved to be the game winner in WMU's victory over in-state rival Oakland on Wednesday, October 11. James would also assist in the Brown and Gold's 5-4 win over Dayton, 2-2 tie at Villanova, and 3-1 win over Northern Illinois.
