Dylan Sing was named the second ever Bronco to earn the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year honor. The award is the highest individual academic honor a collegiate athlete can earn.
Sing is studying integrated supply management, and owns a GPA of 3.99. Sing finished the 2023 season with 15 goals, eight assists, and 38 points in 22 appearances for WMU. His goals, assists, and total points marked season bests for the forward from Berrien Center, Michigan. During the 2023 campaign, Sing set the program record for the most consecutive games with a goal scored (eight straight games), which spanned from September 10 - October 11, where he averaged 1.25 goals per contest. Additionally, Sing was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and Forward of the Year in 2023.
Sing, who was named to the CSC Academic All-America® first team in 2022, was selected the MVC Men's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year this fall and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region first team.
The four Academic All-America® teams, totaling 126 players, have a 3.86 average grade-point average with 30 members posting a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Sing became the first Bronco since midfielder Anthony Bowie to earn the prestigious award. Bowie had previously earned the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year at the conclusion of the 2019 season.
Each year, 16 Academic All-America Team Members are selected, one of these 16 sport-by-sport Academic All-America Team Members of the Year are selected as the overall Academic All-America of the Year for each division.
