Western Michigan and Kent State were even on the glass on Tuesday evening, making it six games in a row that WMU has won or tied the rebounding battle. After finishing near the bottom of the league in most rebounding categories last season, the Broncos have turned it around to lead the MAC in rebounding margin (+8.9), tie for first in offensive rebounding (12.3) and rank third in overall rebounding (38.3). Western Michigan's rebounding margin is also currently ranked 11th in the nation.
WMU VS TOLEDO
Friday's contest marks the 156th all-time meeting between Western Michigan and Toledo. The Rockets own a 92-63 advantage in the all-time series and have won 11 consecutive matchups between the two teams.
STINGY SAVAGE
The Broncos hold just a 15-59 mark in 74 road games at Toledo over the years. The Rockets have won six straight at Savage Arena, with the last Western Michigan win coming in overtime on Feb. 21, 2017.
SCOUTING THE ROCKETS
Like WMU, Toledo is looking to bounce back from a loss in its conference opener on Tuesday, as it suffered a 90-83 setback at home to Ball State. The Rockets are the top scoring team in the MAC (84.9 PPG), and boast three of the top-12 scorers in the league in RayJ Dennis (3rd, 19.2), JT Shumate (T-4, 18.8) and Setric Millner Jr. (12th, 14.6).
MAKING HIS MARK
Markeese Hastings posted his third double-double and eighth double-digt rebounding performance of the season on Tuesday at Kent State. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native ranks in the top-5 in the league in total rebounds (3rd, 9.4), defensive rebounds (2nd, 6.5) and offensive rebounds (4th, 2.9). His 18 rebounds against Siena Heights tied his career high, and marked the largest single-game total by a MAC player this season.
SCORIN' NORMAN
Lamar Norman Jr. tallied 12 points at Kent State on Tuesday, marking the 40th time in 43 games as a Bronco he has reached double-figures. The senior has led Western Michigan in scoring 33 times during his tenure in the Brown & Gold, including eight times this season. He ranks seventh in the MAC in scoring at 17.3 points per game.

Lamar Norman Jr. is tied atop the MAC in both total made three-pointers (43) and made three's per game (3.3). The senior is tied for 33rd nationally in total three's and tied for 12th in three-pointers per game.
