KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's soccer senior midfielder,
Eric Conerty has been named to the CollegeSoccerNews.com and TopDrawerSoccer Men's National Team of the Week.
Conerty was instrumental in WMU's win over Northern Illinois last Friday, scoring and adding an assist. The helper was his third in the last two games. Against NIU, he sent a rocket into the back of the net from 30 yards out to score what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 3-0 MAC-opening win over the Huskies. The Broncos are 7-1-0 overall and are out to a 2-0 start in the MAC. Western Michigan has six shutouts on the season after their 1-0 win against Bowling Green on Tuesday evening. Conerty also tallied WMU's lone goal in the victory over the Falcons.
Western Michigan continues conference play at the WMU Soccer Complex against Chicago State University on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on Bronco All-Access. Admission is free.
