Maggie King has been named the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week, while junior setter
Logan Case was selected as the MAC West Setter of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
King was named the MVP of the CEFCU Classic over the weekend after helping the Broncos to a perfect 3-0 record. The Cincinnati native recorded double-digit kills in each of WMU's three victories and also notched a pair of double-doubles. For the weekend, King totaled 43 kills (4.30/set) on a .298 hitting percentage while adding eight service aces (0.80/set). The senior also racked up 32 digs (3.20/set) and five blocks (0.50/set).
Case earned the Setter of the Week award for the second time this season after an All-Tournament performance at the CEFCU Classic. The junior dished out 118 assists (11.80/set) to fuel a Western Michigan offense which hit .273 collectively for the tournament. Case also picked up 20 digs (2.00/set) and four blocks (0.40/set). The Maineville, Ohio, native currently ranks second nationally in assists/set at 11.57, and has collected 30 or more helpers in 25 consecutive matches going back to last season.
