KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan sophomore Jacob Gideon has been named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List for the nation's top center.
 
Gideon started in all 13 games last season at guard, but will transition over to center this season. Gideon's performance on the offensive line helped the Broncos rush for 2,766 yards and allowed just 26 sacks. WMU's offense ranked 34th in scoring at 32.5 points per game.
 
The Union, Ky., native joins senior running back Sean Tyler as Broncos on watch lists. Tyler was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List and the Doak Walker Award.
