Broncos Host Jack Shaw Invitational on Friday and Saturday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team hosts the 2022 Jack Shaw Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Kanley Track & Field Complex. Admission is free.
 
The meet will feature Ball State, Calvin College, Central Michigan, Grand Valley State, Kalamazoo College, Lake Superior State, Purdue Fort Wayne, Michigan State and Saint Leo University in addition to the Broncos. LSU, MSU, PFW and KC will all field men's teams, as well.

Friday's action will be light with just the men's and women's javelin beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the hammer throw at 2:30 p.m.
 
Saturday's action begins at 10 a.m. with the men's discus and women's shot put, followed by pole vault, high jump, long jump and the triple jump at 2:30 p.m. Running events begin at 1 p.m. with the steeplechase and will have a rolling schedule with the 4x100-meter relay, 1,500-meter run, 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, 800-meter run, 400-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, 5,000-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay.
 
This is the final meet for the Broncos before they host the 2022 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 13-14. Tickets are on-sale now at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets.
